OK, as you all know, I have not done this for over one year! Sorry, but we have been concentrating on building this band back up to what is expected from us, and now we are there. We have been working with Chris Ford as our new Lead Guitar player. he is new to all of you, but to us. We have been playing with him for almost a year now, and it is coming together better than we could have hoped. The saga continues!! TRENT is back on Lead Guitar. After spending about 7 months in St. Louis, he has moved back and decided to come back to INTRYNSIK. We would like to thank Mark Johnson for stepping in, and taking his place during the past 7 months. We never could have kept this band alive with out a fast learner, and a great player! Thanks Mark. OK, I know it has been like 2 or three months since I did this, but give me a break I am busy! The CD is sounding great! Kelvin Grimble is doing an awesome job, and I have to admit so are we! We are in the final stages and should be listening to some new tracks soon. Our schedule is starting to pick up and we are very excited about playing the Celebration this year! We hope that every one has had a great holiday season, we have. Our little break has been nice, but we miss playing for all of you guys, look on our calendar and you will see some interesting shows coming up! I mentioned sound quality below, talking about our recording. I want you all to know something. The sound of a band is controlled by who ever is behind the board, be it LIVE or RECORDED. The music, and feel comes from the band, but the sound is the sound engineer at work. We are very lucky to have the best sound guy behind our board for EVERY performance. Jeff Burger has been runing sound for us since we started, but his story does not start there. If you click on his BIO you can see where he has been, and what he has done. Whether we are cranking it up outside, or playing a small private Venue Jeff has the ear, and the talent to keep our levels right, and the crowd happy. Oh yeah, he always has the right sound effect for the moment as well. Next time you come see us, if you like what you hear - Remember when you take the time to tell the band how good they were - Tell the sound guy too!! HARSH | ||||||||||||||||||||
You have all been hearing about it, and now it is happening. I am sure you have been looking at the Calendar and thinking to your selves, man these guys are slipping! There is nothing booked in December, January, or February. Well, for good reason. We are recording CD #3, starting this weekend. We will be recording at P.A.R. Studios in Springfield, Illinois. Kelvin is the Bomb and our new CD is going to blow 1 and 2 out of the water, with content but especially with SOUND QUALITY. Well, it has been another busy summer for us, but the year is slowing down, and so are our shows. See us while you can, because we are recording in November and we will probably not play until after the first of the year. OK, you wanted the scoop on the MILLER LITE give aways at Spanky's, so here they are. On Band night (Friday) register to win for the following week. You will win four free admissions into Spanky's, four free Miller Lite's, and four free Miller Lite T-Shirts. Not only this, you will also get the VIP Table reserved for you and your four guests, right up front for the band on the following friday. So, you need to go to Spanky's the week before we play, and enter the contest. Then you will get the PIMP DADDY Seats for the INTRYNSIK show, if you are the winner. Well, INTRYNSIK hooked it up at the SIUE Battle of teh Bands competition. We won first place, and played Friday night at their SpringFest. We also will be getting booked for some shows there this year. We are all excited about the Summer Start show May 25th. This will be our warm up for the Decatur Celebration next year (2004). We sent a CD to 107.1 The Planet in Champaign. They are hosting a great opportunity for Local Bands, we will get some airplay, and the chance to open for Better Than Ezra, Local H, Lucky Boys Confusion, Red Hot Valentines, Bottle of Justus and Graham Colton . Make sure that you listen and vote for us! It will be a Battle of the bands type show, and the band with the most votes will win. OK, we had to change the CD Release Party again. This show shure has been a logistics nightmare. But, we wanted to make sure that it went well, afterall you only get on release party per CD. So, hopefully you will all be able to make it December 7th. It will be a great time. This time we have paid for Professional Duplication, and our CD will be just like what you would buy at any music store (Only it will have kick-ass INTRYNSIK music inside). It has been a while since I updated, I have been busy with school as usual. The new CD is about 2 weeks from completion. We have 1,000 copies coming from Oasis CD so there will be plenty to go around at Players! We have already recorded 2 songs for the next CD, hopefully we can have that CD done in about a year. SO, what did everyone think of the show at Players, against ROSWELL? Well, my personal opinion is that we held our own, and showed them old men what original music is all about. They can keep their Head Bangin stuff, INTRYNSIK is where its at! CD's will be done soon, and we do have shirts available now! CD Release party will be in a few months. We had a great weekend playing during the Celebration. Jimmy Ryans was a big hit, and we will be back there in a few months it looks like. The manager was so happy he is going to do this tent party several times a year he says. We got an E-Mail from some guy who not only tried to belittle the band, but he also took a shot at our Fans! OK, I just updated our events section. Look at the bottom! That is awesome. We have accomplished two of our goals (Lock Stock, and now the Celebration). If you guys get a chance, my good friend will be playing at Cheddars Wednesday the 3rd of July. You guys may have seen them open for us at Players. Mystery Machine, they do a kick ass version of Devil Went Down To Georgia. They sound great. They will be playing Decatur more, and more as I have gotten them into the scene. Well, INTRYNSIK has been called, and we will do our part! INTRYNSIK will be playing a benefit for the good old RED WHITE and BLUE on December 15th. Check out the events section below for details. Well, as you all may have heard RUMORS is closed!! So, now INTRYNSIK needs to find a new home. We are in the middle of buying new equipment, so luckily we will be able to start playing at a new bar with some great sound! With the expertise of Jeff Burger of course.
